Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 8, 2026
Ember is a daily practice app and website, built in Tel Aviv. This policy explains in plain language what data is collected when you use ember.day and the Ember app, and what happens with it.
What the site collects
- Usage data - the site uses Google Analytics to understand which pages are viewed and how visitors arrive. This includes technical details like browser type and approximate location. It does not identify you by name.
- An attribution cookie - a first-party cookie that remembers how you reached the site (for example from an ad or a shared link), so we know which channels work.
- Meta (Facebook) Pixel - when an ad campaign is running, the site loads Meta's measurement pixel, which lets us see which ads led to a visit. It may use advertising cookies. You can block it through your browser settings or your Meta ad preferences.
- Waitlist email - if you join the Android waitlist, your email is stored and used only to let you know when the Android version is available.
What the app collects
- Usage data - the app uses Firebase Analytics (a Google service) to understand how it's used, such as how many practices are completed. No personal practice content is collected for this.
- Your practice content - what you write and choose in the app is used to run the app itself. It is not sold and not used for advertising.
- Purchases - payment happens through the Apple App Store. Your payment details stay with Apple; we never see them.
What we don't do
Your data is not sold. Apart from Meta's measurement pixel described above, it is not shared with ad networks or used for anything beyond running and improving the service.
Third-party services
The service relies on these providers, which process data on our behalf: Google (analytics), Meta (ad-measurement pixel), Cloudflare (site hosting), Apple (in-app payments), and Resend (email delivery). Each operates under its own privacy policy.
Your rights
You can contact us at any time to request a copy of the data held about you, correct it, or delete it - including removal from the waitlist.
Children
The service is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data about them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
